Let the Games Begin!

Here I am doing some of my cross training for the run. I've just completed 383 laps. It was tough....

And here I am doing my weight training with my nephew Arlo. We walked 5 km in high park like this. We topped it off with an ice cream. This is my first triatholon of the season. I hope to squeeze a few more in before the big run. Brian Orsor...watch out.

All Hail the Bump

It's beginning to look a lot like a pregnancy....

Lisa swears it's Chinese food -- But I believe I distinctly see a bump. All hail the pod, the pod is near. For those of you have inquired, Lisa is feeling fine and full of energy. We're in week 15 now and well on our way. Next midwife appointment isn't until June 21st -- then an ultra sound in July. Yes, we've discussed names...and yes, you'll likely be disappointed. Begin you're practiced "I love it", now.

Great Weekend

Ta Da!

There it is...the big bang of Toronto -- The ROM's new Crystal, designed by Daniel Libeskind . Lisa, Tara and I attended the opening (which actually turned out to be impossible to get in to). So we stayed for the uber cheesy show -- with Eva Avila of Canadian Idol fame and children singing a shmaltzy David Foster creation. It was pretty exciting. As an example of how starved we are for culture here in Toronto, tens of thousands of people showed up. I tried to get a complimentary timed ticket for a tour of the Crystal -- but they only had tours starting at 3:00 am...I like the building, but I think I can wait to see it.

As you can see Tara and Lisa dressed for the occasion, and looked VERY cosmo.

Then on Sunday, Lisa's old friend Ken joined us for Brunch. He's here on business from Portland. We had a wonderful Canadian breakfast, and then went to the Ontario Science Centre -- which was fantastic. Lisa even bought me space ice cream (its frozen to -40 degrees and freeze dried)... I also had a great run with Mariko and a dip in the pool...oh yes, the bubble pool. You'll have to stay tuned for more photos of that!
